The application window to join studies at Ardhi Institute Morogoro (ARIMO) for the September Intake is now open for Geomatics, Urban and Regional Planning (URP), and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) programs. The application process began on May 17, 2024, and will close on June 30th, 2024.
The Principal of ARIMO, Mr. Charles S. Saguda, has announced that for the academic year 2024/2025, ARIMO is planning to double the number of students currently enrolled in the institute. With approximately 500 students currently attending, the goal for the next academic year is to increase the student population to at least 1000.
Mr. Saguda stated that due to the rise in the number of secondary school graduates, there has been a significant increase in the number of applicants. As a result, ARIMO is fully prepared to handle this surge. Additionally, Mr. Saguda announced that ARIMO will be accepting applicants for the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) course for the first time in September. This decision was made in response to the demands of ARIMO academicians and stakeholders who recognized the need for this course in the job market.
The ARIMO Admissions Officer, Mrs. Glory Emmanuel, has announced that the Institute plans to provide opportunities for all qualified prospective candidates. Mrs. Glory stated, "In the past, we received many qualified applications, but we had to limit the number of students due to the lack of instructors and learning infrastructure. Currently, we are grateful to President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan and the Ministry of Lands, Housing, and Settlements Development for making significant improvements to the institute. This will enable us to admit more students starting from the next academic year."
