Ardhi Institute Morogoro (ARIMO) offers a Diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to enhance understanding of the processes that shape our environment, predict potential effects of changes, and provide information to support planning and policy making. This program equips students with the principles of GIS and teaches them how to apply these principles in acquiring, processing, presenting, and managing geospatial data.

The GIS diploma empowers students to develop a sense of social responsibility and an understanding of the role they can play in environmental planning, urban development, topographical mapping, resource management, and related fields.

Qualification Outcomes:

Upon completion of the Diploma in GIS program, graduates should be able to:

• Perform mapping operations with limited supervision, using a wide variety of equipment, software, and techniques under various conditions.
• Generate spatial data and maintain geo-databases.
• Conduct GIS analysis of spatial data.
