Ardhi Institute Morogoro (ARIMO) has released the list of 296 candidates selected for the first phase to begin their studies for the 2024/2025 academic year, September intake.
The Principal of the Institute, Mr. Charles Saguda has noted that this selection is an important step in the educational journey for the selected students. Speaking to this column after the admission committee meeting, he said, "We warmly welcome all those selected to join Ardhi Institute Morogoro (ARIMO) to gain understanding, knowledge, and skills for the benefit of the current and future generations".
On the other hand, the Institute’s Admission Officer Mrs. Glory Pastory noted that this year's selection process has been carefully conducted to ensure that qualified applicants are accepted into our popular courses in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics (GM), and Urban and Regional Planning (URP). Mrs. Glory has been quoted, "We have two lists of selected students. The first list includes 176 students selected through the Office of the President - Regional Administrations and Local Governments (OR-TAMISEMI) and the second list includes 120 students who applied to the Institute”.
The students listed by OR-TAMISEMI have been selected based on their performance in secondary school and how well they meet the criteria for the relevant course. 120 students have been selected to join the Geomatics (GM) course, and 56 to join the Urban and Regional Planning (URP) course. The Principal of the Institute expressed his contentment by saying, "We are happy to have these talented students join us to further their education in these rapidly changing fields."
The Admissions Committee at the Ardhi Institute Morogoro carefully reviewed all applications to ensure that students who meet high standards of academic excellence and ability are selected. According to Mr. Lemuel Ngowi, Assistant Officer at the Admissions Office, the selected students have shown a strong interest in developing their knowledge and skills in the courses of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics (GM), and Urban and Regional Planning (URP). A total of 120 students were selected based on their sincere desire to develop knowledge and skills. Among them, 18 students will join courses in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 56 will study Geomatics (GM), and approximately 46 others will receive training in Urban and Regional Planning (URP).
Head of the Academic Department Mr. Pius K. Paul has expressed his satisfaction with this step in the selection of new students. He has said that it will be a good thing for those selected to join the Institute to confirm their readiness to join studies early. Mr. Pius has said, "I encourage the students selected from both lists to confirm their acceptance of their positions as soon as they see this information”.
According to the Admissions Officer, Ms. Glory, detailed instructions on the registration process, and the required documents will be provided via email and on the ARIMO website. Mrs. Glory has encouraged all the selected students to prepare to join the Institute for their chosen courses.
All training programmes at ARIMO are designed to enable its Graduates to acquire the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to succeed in the rapidly changing fields of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics (GM), and Town and Village Planning (URP).
